David Hanners' songs are a slice of Americana and folk that feature vibrant storytelling and unforgettable characters. His music is rooted in America's heartland, where he is originally from, and his album There Are No Secrets in This Town, "plays out like a musical version of a McMurtry novel," wrote Terry Paul Roland, featured contributor to No Depression. Hanners won a Pulitzer Prize during his years as a newspaper reporter, and is from Casey, IL, but has worked or played music in Texas, Minnesota, Britain and the Middle East. He now lives in Lefkosia.
